Morosi adds that the Tigers would likely request some cash to be included in the deal, considering the size of Arenado’s contract. Despite these potential shifts, it’s puzzling why some want to move Arenado from third base, especially since he’s won ten Gold Glove awards from 2013 to 2022 and has remained an elite defender in recent years. Any team acquiring Arenado should be prepared to adjust their own roster, rather than shifting Arenado off his position.
