Sassine & Leung Named CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week

University of Dayton student-athletes Ethan Sassine and Olivia Leung have been recognized as the CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week for performances during the week of November 18-24.

Sassine, a senior from Johns Creek, Georgia, played a pivotal role in Dayton’s NCAA Second Round win over Michigan on Sunday. Coming off the bench, the striker scored both goals, with the first coming in the 39th minute just before halftime and the second in the 61st minute, securing Dayton’s historic advancement to the third round of the NCAA tournament.

Leung, a freshman guard from Calgary, had an impressive performance in Dayton’s 12-point comeback win over Providence on Thursday. She scored 13 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and was highly efficient, going 3-of-4 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point range, and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. Leung also grabbed two rebounds and earned the A-10 Rookie of the Week award for her efforts.
