Rutgers has one final game to play this fall, but the offseason is already underway.
As the Scarlet Knights (7-5, 4-5) await the announcement of their postseason destination on Sunday following the College Football Playoff reveal, they are preparing for the critical months of player movements ahead.
The transfer portal opens for most undergraduates on December 9 and will remain available until December 28. However, graduate transfers and undergraduates from programs that may fire their head coach this week—such as Purdue, North Carolina, and FIU—can access the portal now.
Meanwhile, veteran players face important decisions about whether to return to college or pursue their NFL aspirations, as well as if they will participate in the upcoming bowl game.
With so much happening, we’re here to keep you updated. Bookmark this page and check back regularly this offseason for updates from NJ Advance Media as we track the ongoing changes in college football’s player landscape.
