BREAKING: “Huge Boost” FAU Highly Rated WR Commit Elite Flips To NC State

Sunshine State wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann joins NC State’s 2025 recruiting class.

Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann has announced that he is switching his commitment from FAU to NC State.

State receivers coach Joker Phillips, who was Hoffmann’s primary recruiter for the Wolfpack, played a significant role in his decision.

“We discussed a lot of things,” said the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Hoffmann after receiving the offer from NC State last week. “We talked about quarterback CJ Bailey and how talented he is. He also mentioned that I’d have the opportunity to play and make an impact there, which was encouraging.

“I feel like he’s a straightforward coach. He’s really approachable, and I’m excited to meet him. I believe we could build a strong relationship. He also mentioned wanting me to connect with the head coach soon.”

Academics were another important factor in Hoffmann’s decision, as he already has a clear goal for his college studies.

“I want to major in business finance, so understanding what their program offers is crucial,” Hoffmann noted last week. “My dad emphasizes the importance of academics, and I share that belief, so it’s definitely a significant consideration.”

In November, two receivers—Jamar Browder (Michigan) and Arrion Concepcion (Kansas State)—decommitted from the Wolfpack. Hoffmann joins four-star prospect Jerel Bolder from Marshville (N.C.) Forest Hills, bringing NC State’s 2025 recruiting class to two receivers.

Hoffmann, who has also received offers from FSU and Boston College recently, is having an impressive senior season at Atlantic. In 11 games, he has recorded 57 receptions for 939 yards and 19 touchdowns, leading his team to a 10-1 record.

Over his three-year varsity career, Hoffmann has amassed 162 catches for 2,728 yards and 49 touchdowns.

He is rated as a three-star prospect with an 86 rating by 247Sports.
