‘I’m 50/50 with this! Roster Management as Several reports confirm the Rangers are set to part ways with Jacob Trouba

Roster Moves: Multiple Reports Indicate Rangers Will Part Ways with Jacob Trouba

Several reports confirm that the New York Rangers are likely to either trade or place their captain, Jacob Trouba, on waivers today. This move comes after months of speculation, as the Rangers have been trying to move Trouba since the offseason. Today, it seems that they are finally taking action.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post reported that Trouba will not be participating in the Rangers’ morning skate and will not play against the Pittsburgh Penguins due to roster management reasons.

Breaking news: It has been revealed that Jacob Trouba will not be on the ice today, and Victor Mancini will be recalled to take his place.

Additional reports suggest that this move is a prelude to either waiving Trouba or trading him. Multiple sources have confirmed that Trouba’s absence is unrelated to injury, with Mancini called up from the AHL’s Hartford Wolfpack to fill his spot.

NHL insider Pierre LeBrun later added that the Rangers have multiple trade options for Trouba but require his approval to waive his modified no-trade clause. Further confirmation on whether Trouba will be placed on waivers or traded is expected by 2 PM ET.
