Following a injury-riddled 2024 season, a Colorado State football player has made the decision to transfer.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end, showing great promise, faced limitations this season due to injuries. He suffered a toe injury during preseason camp that sidelined him for multiple games. The redshirt sophomore participated in seven games in 2024, accumulating 15 tackles, four of which were for a loss, along with one sack.

In 2023, Gatkuoth recorded 53 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and one interception.

On Friday, he shared on X that he intends to enter the transfer portal when it becomes available on December 9.

Following the 2024 regular season, CSU coach Jay Norvell parted ways with defensive coordinator Freddie Banks.

CSU finished the 2024 season with an 8-4 record and is set to compete in a bowl game, with announcements scheduled for Sunday, December 8.
