Tom Wilson Shares His Thoughts After Taking a Puck to the Face

“The guy with the mangled face,” Tom Wilson remarked, commenting on the swelling in his face.

“It doesn’t look great,” he admitted. “But my dad always told me, if you’re good enough to play, you play. So I went to the locker room, got checked out, and felt okay to return. It’s a team sport, and the guys stepped up and got it done.”

Wilson joked, “I feel like the side of my face is about to fall off a little,” but after passing a few tests, he was cleared to get back on the ice.
