‘Scintillating’-Texas Tech strike gold, adds another piece to 2025 offensive line via the transfer portal
Texas Tech has bolstered its 2025 offensive line by adding another transfer through the portal. Will Jados, an offensive lineman from Miami (OH), is the second transfer to join the Red Raiders’ line this recruiting cycle. The announcement came on Sunday evening, continuing a busy weekend for Texas Tech football. Jados’ commitment was confirmed by multiple sources, including the Matador Club, the school’s unofficial NIL collective.
Jados, a 6-foot-8, 307-pound tackle from Westerville, Ohio, brings significant college experience to the Red Raiders. He started 38 games at left tackle for the Redhawks and is now set to compete at the Big 12 level. As a redshirt junior, Jados will have one more year of eligibility in 2025. Although unranked as a transfer by 247Sports, he was a 2-star recruit in the 2021 class and the No. 219 offensive tackle in the nation.
Coming out of high school, Jados had limited offers, with his only power-conference offer coming from Kentucky. He also received interest from Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Toledo, and Western Michigan. As a transfer, he attracted offers from Oklahoma State, UTEP, Wake Forest, and Pitt.
After redshirting in his freshman year, Jados became a starter in 2022. That season, he played in 13 games, starting 11 at tackle. In 2023, he started all 14 games for Miami (OH) and earned second-team All-MAC honors for his strong performance. Now, Jados is looking to earn a starting position with Texas Tech.
Jados is the second offensive lineman added to the Red Raiders’ roster since the transfer portal opened on December 9, joining Hunter Zambrano, a transfer from Illinois State. Additionally, Jados follows wide receiver Reggie Virgil from Miami (OH), who also recently committed to Texas Tech.
With seven transfers now committed to the program, including Jados, head coach Joey McGuire has hinted at more announcements to come. Fans should stay tuned for more updates on future portal additions to the Red Raiders’ roster.
