BREAKING: Boston Red Sox Acquire Promising Ace Jesús Luzardo from the Miami Marlins in Major 4-Player Trade Proposal

Now, the Red Sox seem to be looking for more pitching, with Jesús Luzardo, the left-handed pitcher from the Miami Marlins, standing out as a highly sought-after target. While no trade rumors have emerged yet, a deal for Luzardo could benefit both teams.

With team control extending through 2026, Luzardo would add a high-upside lefty to the Red Sox’s rotation alongside Tanner Houck and Crochet. Given that Luzardo suffered an injury in 2024, he might come at a more affordable price than anticipated, but the Red Sox would still need to trade some of their valuable prospects.
Yoeilin Cespedes, a 19-year-old shortstop, has been excelling in rookie ball, but given the strong depth of shortstop talent in the Boston farm system, his departure wouldn’t be a major blow for them. However, it would be a notable advantage for the Marlins.
David Sandlin, a 23-year-old right-handed pitcher with a reliable four-pitch arsenal, is nearing his major league debut and is expected to join the Marlins early in 2025.
Mikey Romero, another shortstop prospect, has been somewhat overlooked due to Boston’s abundance of young shortstops. After a decent season, he struggled in 2023, leading to questions about his future development.
