NHL Verdict Confirmed-Insights as Huge Penalty on Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky With Major Fine

San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky was fined $25,000 for improper conduct, the NHL announced on Tuesday. The fine will go to the NHL Foundation.

Warsofsky expressed criticism of the officials following San Jose’s 4-3 loss to Utah on Saturday.

“I’m working on improving that aspect of my behavior,” Warsofsky said, according to Curtis Pashelka of the Bay Area News Group. “But I’m passionate and wear my emotions openly. Sometimes it gets the best of me, but at the end of the day, I have to support my players, and that won’t change.”

Warsofsky, in his first season as the Sharks’ head coach (11-17-5), has the team currently ranked seventh in the Pacific Division. He was promoted to head coach on June 13 after the team dismissed David Quinn, having previously been an assistant coach.
