Initially set to take place on Wednesday night, the game was rescheduled to 4 p.m. EST on Thursday due to the unfortunate events that occurred in New Orleans in the last 24 to 36 hours. This decision was made to prioritize the safety of players, coaches, staff, and all those involved.
Nevertheless, attention continues to be on those affected by the tragic event on Bourbon Street, located just outside the Caesars Superdome, where the game will take place. Before the game, Georgia released a five-word message, aiming to create an incredible matchup while bringing a moment of joy to the city of New Orleans in the wake of the tragedy.
The Bulldogs are favored by 1 point over the Fighting Irish, as reported by DraftKings Sportsbook, and will be starting rookie quarterback Gunner Stockton in place of the injured Carson Beck, who is sidelined for the season due to a shoulder injury.
Even with the quarterback switch, attention is still on the standout running backs from both teams—Jeremiyah Love for Notre Dame and Trevor Etienne for Georgia—along with the formidable defensive units, which are anticipated to significantly impact the game’s result.
