On Monday, Nebraska extended an offer to tight end Lincoln Watkins from Port Huron Northern, adding to the talented recruit’s portfolio of over 25 offers.

Notably, the offer came from Nebraska assistant coach Marcus Satterfield, who transitioned to focusing on tight ends after losing his offensive coordinator role during the season. He will continue in this capacity for the 2024 season and the upcoming bowl game.

Watkins, who is 6-foot-4 and weighs 221 pounds, caught the attention of Allen Trieu in early December when he showcased his skills at a camp in Detroit, despite dealing with an injury, establishing himself as one of the top tight ends there.

He has received numerous offers, including from several schools in the Big Ten Conference, as well as playoff contenders like Oregon and Penn State. Watkins is rated as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and the 247Sports Composite.

Currently, Nebraska has commitments from quarterback Dayton Raiola, wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte, and defensive back CJ Bronaugh.
