The Eastern Washington Eagles and South Dakota Coyotes have arranged a home-and-home football series for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, EWU announced on Monday.
In the first matchup, Eastern Washington will travel to the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D., to compete against South Dakota on September 12, 2026. The Eagles will then host the Coyotes at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash., the following year on September 11, 2027, which will wrap up the series.
Eastern Washington, part of the Big Sky Conference, and South Dakota, a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference, have faced each other only once before, with the Coyotes winning that game 30-17 on September 10, 2011, in Vermillion.
With the inclusion of games against South Dakota, Eastern Washington has finalized its non-conference schedule through the 2027 season. Here’s a summary of their upcoming matches:
