Arch Manning has gained an important new teammate as Texas welcomes a key transfer from Bill Belichick’s North Carolina program. The highly sought-after player from North Carolina, a standout under Belichick’s guidance, is joining the Texas Longhorns with hopes of contending for a national championship alongside Manning and head coach Steve Sarkisian.
The Longhorns are on the verge of a National Championship appearance, having reached the College Football Playoff Semifinals in two consecutive seasons under Sarkisian’s leadership. While Texas has positioned itself for a bright future, particularly with Arch Manning set to take over as quarterback, the team is also making key moves to strengthen its roster. The latest addition comes in the form of a talented transfer from North Carolina, which has undergone significant changes since Bill Belichick’s arrival as head coach.

Although Sarkisian is under contract with Texas through 2030, there’s speculation that an NFL opportunity might tempt him. Having served as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, Sarkisian has yet to experience the challenge of being a head coach at the NFL level, making any potential offer from a professional team worth watching.
