Exercising Muscle-Another new defensive coordinator? NC State football juggles coaching staff — again

Even with the transfer portal open, it’s quite uncommon for a player to switch directly between rival teams, let alone a member of the coaching staff. However, N.C. State has accomplished just that. Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren announced on Thursday morning that they have hired a former North Carolina assistant coach to join their defensive staff. Charlton Warren will take on the role of co-defensive coordinator and will coach the safeties and nickelbacks. Warren replaces Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay, who was initially appointed to this position and served as the interim defensive coordinator during N.C. State’s bowl game. Aughtry-Lindsay has reportedly accepted a different coaching position.
