Sterling Dixon has chosen his next destination.

The linebacker from Spanish Fort has announced that he will be transferring to NC State, as reported by On3.

Dixon played for Alabama football last season, participating in three games as a true freshman against Western Kentucky, Missouri, and Mercer. This means he won’t lose a year of eligibility and will have four years of college football remaining if he decides to continue.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 211 pounds, Dixon was ranked as the No. 18 edge rusher in the 2024 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite.

He is joining Justin Okoronkwo, who also played as a linebacker for Alabama and has decided to move to South Carolina. Additionally, Jeremiah Alexander, another depth linebacker, is transferring to Clemson.

The winter window for Alabama players to enter the transfer portal has now closed, but those already in the portal can still finalize their next playing locations.
