For the second consecutive year, and the fourth time in the past five seasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers were knocked out of the playoffs in the wild-card round. After the team’s latest postseason exit, George Pickens spoke with reporters about the progress he’s observed in the Steelers’ offense over recent years, acknowledging that the unit has grown since his rookie season in 2022.

When asked about his outlook for the offense moving forward, Pickens gave a blunt response with just one word: “Nah.”

Now in his third season with the Steelers after being drafted in the second round in 2022, Pickens has played with five different quarterbacks. That number may increase, as Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are both set to become free agents this offseason.

Despite noting the offense’s improvements, the 23-year-old receiver didn’t shy away from expressing his lack of optimism.

Pickens, who played 14 games this season, recorded 59 receptions, 900 yards, and three touchdowns. He has surpassed 50 catches and 800 yards in each of his first three seasons, establishing himself as Pittsburgh’s top receiving threat.
