Breaking News: Former walk-on Tight End has committed to join Coach Dan Jackson and the Jackrabbit program
The South Dakota State Jackrabbit football program has experienced a greater number of player departures than new arrivals this offseason through the transfer portal, attributed to the coaching change in Brookings.
However, the Jacks made a significant addition over the weekend, as former walk-on Tight End Jalyn Thompson has decided to join Coach Dan Jackson and the Jackrabbit team.
A native of Des Moines, Thompson originally walked on to the Hawkeyes in 2023.

On his ESPN profile, Thompson stands at 6’2″ and weighs 253 pounds, which will certainly add a strong physical presence to the Tight End group in Brookings.
