“We certainly want it”: USC Trojans Predicted to Land 2025 3-Star linebacker, Former Washington State Signee

The USC Trojans are expected to secure a commitment from AJ Tuitele, a 2025 three-star recruit from Mojave (NV), after his official visit this past weekend. Tuitele had initially signed with Washington State during the early national signing period but was granted a release after head coach Jake Dickert moved to Wake Forest. On January 8, USC extended an offer, and following his visit to Los Angeles, 247Sports has forecasted that Tuitele will join the Trojans on National Signing Day next month.

Tuitele’s visit coincided with the hiring of NFL veteran Rob Ryan as USC’s new linebackers coach. Ryan brings over three decades of coaching experience, including time with nine NFL teams and serving as the linebackers coach under Bill Belichick during the New England Patriots’ first two Super Bowl victories. He replaces Matt Entz, who left to coach at Fresno State.

USC has secured 22 commitments for the 2025 class, but only one linebacker, four-star Matai Tagoa’i from San Clemente (CA). The Trojans lost out on four-star linebacker Madden Faraimo to Notre Dame and saw four-star Jadon Perlotte, originally committed to USC, flip to Tennessee during the early signing period.
