Bailey, a seasoned veteran, has a rich history in college football. Originally committed to Tennessee, he played two seasons with the Volunteers before transferring to UNLV for the 2022 season and later to Louisville, where he spent the last two years. Although he wasn’t the starter at Louisville—where head coach Jeff Brohm favored other transfers—Bailey has played in 19 games, completing 63.2% of his passes for 1,190 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Notably, he led Louisville to a 35-34 Sun Bowl victory against Washington, throwing for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Bailey’s experience will be crucial in helping Lagway develop, offering leadership both on the field and in the meeting rooms. He will compete with returning quarterbacks Aidan Warner, Clay Millen, and incoming four-star recruit Tramell Jones. Although Bailey only has one season of eligibility left, he fills a short-term need for the Gators in 2025.
