This selection makes perfect sense.
CINCINNATI — PFF’s Dalton Wasserman highlighted a key free agent for each NFL team this offseason, and for the Bengals, it’s Tee Higgins.
Higgins had a standout season with 73 receptions, 911 yards, and a career-high 10 touchdowns while playing under the franchise tag.
“Retaining Higgins will come at a steep price — likely requiring significant adjustments to other parts of the roster — but there’s no question the Bengals have one of the league’s top offenses when he’s on the field alongside Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase,” Wasserman wrote. “The 26-year-old Higgins earned an impressive 88.3 PFF receiving grade this year. He could very well be the most sought-after free agent this offseason.”
And that price tag is significant. PFF projects Higgins could secure a four-year, $112 million contract, with $67.5 million guaranteed, making him the top unrestricted free agent on the market.
