Notre Dame’s Pat Coogan Transfers to In-State Rival Indiana
Pat Coogan, a key member of Notre Dame’s offensive line in 2024, made his decision on where to finish his college career. After narrowing his options down to two schools earlier this week, Coogan announced on Friday that he will transfer to Indiana University for his final year of eligibility, choosing the Hoosiers over Michigan.
Coogan shared the news on social media on Friday afternoon.

While Coogan wasn’t expected to start for Notre Dame in 2025—having joined as a replacement for injured center Ashton Craig—his leadership and depth on the offensive line were invaluable to the team.
As a Notre Dame fan, I’m definitely relieved to see him head to Bloomington rather than Ann Arbor.
