Can Georgia snag this Tennessee decommit?
Georgia football is actively pursuing a number of intriguing recruits in the 2026 class. While many of these prospects are among the top-ranked players, there are others who capture attention for different reasons.
One standout is four-star offensive lineman Brandon Anderson from Kennesaw, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 287 player nationally, the No. 22 offensive lineman in the country, and the No. 34 prospect from Georgia.
At first glance, Anderson’s recruitment may seem straightforward, but that’s not the case. He initially committed to Tennessee in October, but just days after visiting the Volunteers for one of their January Junior Days, he chose to decommit.
A few days later, Anderson revealed plans for four official visits he will be taking later this summer.

Georgia in the running for Brandon Anderson
According to Sam Spiegelman from Rivals, Georgia will host Anderson for his first official visit later this summer, starting on May 30th. After his trip to Athens, Anderson plans to visit several other schools, including Florida, Florida State, and Tennessee.
As previously mentioned, Anderson made the surprising decision to decommit from Tennessee shortly after attending their Junior Day in January. This move initially seemed to eliminate Tennessee from contention, but that’s not the case.
It will be intriguing to observe how this recruitment unfolds, especially since Anderson is a local talent that Kirby Smart and his team are clearly interested in. Typically, this is a positive sign for Georgia, but we’ll have to wait until the summer to see how things develop.
