Just about a week ago, the Tennessee football team faced some disappointing news when four-star offensive lineman Brandon Anderson chose to reopen his recruitment and withdraw his commitment to the Vols. This was a setback for their efforts in the 2026 class.
However, could Anderson still end up in Knoxville for his college career? That’s a possibility that can’t be dismissed, particularly in light of recent developments. According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, the highly-rated prospect has lined up four official visits, including one to Tennessee on June 20. This unexpected turn of events has caught us by surprise.

4-star OT Brandon Anderson has set up his Tennessee official visit for June
Tennessee isn’t the only program that will get an official visit from the 6-4, 320-pound offensive lineman; he’ll also be visiting Florida State, Georgia, and Florida, with the possibility of scheduling additional trips.
Anderson is ranked as the No. 22 interior offensive lineman nationwide and the No. 34 player from Georgia for his class, according to the 247Sports Composite. Over 20 programs have extended offers to this highly touted recruit.
Currently, the Vols have seven known commitments for the 2026 recruiting class, a number that’s expected to rise as spring practice approaches. While losing Anderson was a disappointment, the fact that he’s planning an official visit to return to campus later this year indicates that a potential commitment to UT next December is still a possibility.
There’s definitely strong competition for Anderson’s commitment, but Heupel and his staff are prepared to show him why Knoxville could be the perfect fit for him. Anderson is viewed as a major talent, and he would certainly look great in orange!
