Eagles Pro Bowler Provides Update on Injury Ahead of Super Bowl
The Eagles are just days away from the Super Bowl, gearing up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in what promises to be an intense matchup.
Philadelphia’s journey to the big game has been anything but easy. They’ve overcome tough challenges, defeating the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and Washington Commanders to get here. However, injuries have added an extra layer of difficulty to their playoff run.
One of the key players dealing with an injury is Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens, who has been struggling with a back issue that was expected to sideline him during the NFC Championship Game. Despite this, Jurgens suited up and stepped in when needed to replace an injured Landon Dickerson.
There were concerns about whether Jurgens would be ready for the Super Bowl, but in a video shared by 94WIP.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks, Jurgens assured fans that he would be good to go.
“Yeah, I mean, shoutout to the trainers and the medical staff. They’ve been working around the clock and helped me out. I’m in a lot better shape now than I was last week,” Jurgens said.
This is promising news for the Eagles. With Jason Kelce retiring at the end of the 2023 season, the team has relied heavily on Jurgens, who has stepped up in a major way. His performance will be crucial as the Eagles face off against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
