Alabama LB in position to possibly be first linebacker taken in 2025 NFL Draft
Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell is a strong contender to be the first linebacker picked in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Last season, he played a key role in the Crimson Tide’s defense, which was ranked eighth in college football.
In 2024, Campbell recorded an interception, forced two fumbles, achieved five sacks, and tallied 117 total tackles. His impressive performance has caught the attention of NFL scouts and Pro Football Focus analyst Dalton Wasserman, who sees Campbell as a leading candidate to be the top player at his position in the upcoming draft.
“Campbell has positioned himself as a potential first-round linebacker thanks to his 2024 performance,” Wasserman noted.
If Campbell participates in the NFL scouting combine on February 27th and at the Alabama Crimson Tide Pro Day in March, he could further solidify his status as the top linebacker in this draft class.
