More passionate: CeeDee Lamb spurns Cowboys fans in favor of Eagles

CeeDee Lamb ignites Cowboys fans’ ire by declaring Eagles fans more passionate
He may have a point, but no Dallas fan wants to hear it.

CeeDee Lamb might be walking a fine line.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was recently asked about which fan base—Dallas or their rival Philadelphia Eagles—was more passionate. As if it wasn’t bad enough that Cowboys fans had to watch Philly win the Super Bowl, now they’ve got to hear Lamb say that the Eagles’ supporters are more fervent.

In an interview with Kate Feeney, Lamb described the Eagles fan base as “crazy” and acknowledged that while Dallas fans are deeply loyal, “the Eagles got it.”

This probably won’t sit well with Cowboys Nation, but Lamb is likely right. Eagles fans, while sometimes extreme, are undeniably loud, passionate, and loyal—even if their love for the team sometimes involves odd rituals like climbing light posts.

There’s certainly a vocal segment of Cowboys fans who share that intensity, but they’re not always the ones filling the stadium. In fact, Troy Aikman once remarked that their games were populated by people who were more interested in being seen than actually cheering on the team.

Despite that, it’s rare for a player to openly praise an opposing fan base, unless the question involves the word “worst.”
