Saints Expected to Add 1,319-Yard Playmaker to New Orleans
The New Orleans Saints are poised to add some top-tier talent with their No. 9 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft this April.
Unless the team makes a trade, they have an opportunity to bring in a significant player. With the Super Bowl behind us, several mock drafts are already circulating. Dan Parr of NFL.com released his mock draft on Thursday, predicting that the Saints will select Arizona standout wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
“Kellen Moore embarks on building an offense capable of competing with the one he helped lead to a championship in Philly,” Parr noted. “McMillan would pair with Chris Olave to form a dynamic receiving duo for the Saints.”
This would be a great move for the Saints if they can land McMillan. In 2024, McMillan totaled 1,319 receiving yards in just 12 games, recording 84 receptions and 8 touchdowns for Arizona. Over three years at Arizona, he accumulated 3,423 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns.
A Kellen Moore-led offense featuring McMillan, Olave, and Alvin Kamara would be an exciting prospect. While the situation with Derek Carr remains uncertain, he could still be a good fit if the team manages to restructure his contract.
Though the Saints’ 2024 season didn’t go as planned, it could set the stage for the return of high-caliber talent.
