Certainly Not a Surprise-Tee Higgins Posts Cryptic Message On Social Media

After failing to make the playoffs for two consecutive seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals face an uncertain future.

Their top two wide receivers, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, are both eligible for contract extensions, with Higgins set to hit free agency when the NFL’s new league year begins in March.

With Cincinnati unlikely to afford both players, speculation has been swirling about where Higgins might land this offseason.

Adding to the uncertainty, Higgins recently posted on Instagram, writing, “Priorities are rare, options are everywhere,” a message that many interpret as a hint that he could be on the move.

Speculation suggests that Higgins may prefer to be a team’s primary wide receiver rather than playing a secondary role behind Chase, which could lead him to seek opportunities elsewhere.

However, he has not ruled out the possibility of staying in Cincinnati, the franchise he has been with for all five of his NFL seasons.

There is debate over whether Higgins can be a true WR1 for a competitive team, but he still managed to record 73 receptions, 911 yards, and 10 touchdowns this season despite playing only 12 games.

At just 26 years old, he likely has several strong seasons ahead, provided he stays healthy.

One team rumored to be interested in Higgins is the New England Patriots, who recently hired Mike Vrabel as head coach and have a potential franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, who showed promise in his rookie season.
