The Dallas Stars have signed forward Sam Steel to a two-year, $ 4.2 million contract extension as of Friday.

This deal, which begins in the 2025-26 season, will last through the 2026-27 campaign.

In his second season with Dallas, Steel has recorded 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 53 games so far.

“We are excited to extend Sam for the next two years,” said Stars general manager Jim Nill. “His ability to contribute at both ends of the ice has been a tremendous asset for our team. He’s a player we can rely on to make a positive impact and execute the little things that lead to victories.”

A first-round selection by Anaheim in 2016, Steel has amassed 134 points (47 goals, 87 assists) over 392 career games played for the Ducks (2018-22), Minnesota Wild (2022-23), and Stars.
