LeBron James Sends Praise to USC’s JuJu Watkins After Win Against UCLA
The No. 6 USC Trojans recently secured a major victory over the No. 1 UCLA Bruins, with USC guard JuJu Watkins delivering an incredible performance. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James shared his admiration for Watkins’ standout game on social media.
On Thursday night, the USC Trojans women’s basketball team triumphed over the UCLA Bruins, with Watkins playing a key role and attracting significant attention on social media.
The game garnered nationwide interest, with several celebrities in attendance, including comedian Kevin Hart, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, and Los Angeles Sparks player Kelsey Plum. LeBron James joined the conversation on X, commending Watkins for her impressive display against UCLA.
James’ post was in response to a comment from Romeo Travis, a former high school teammate of James, who said, “She went crazy.”

Watkins delivered a remarkable performance, scoring 38 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, blocking eight shots, and recording five assists. She also made 6 out of 9 three-pointers and shot 12-26 from the field, helping USC defeat the last remaining undefeated team in college basketball.
LeBron is familiar with USC basketball, as his son, Bronny James, played for the Trojans for one season. During that time, Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 37% from the field. Bronny was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft, making history as the first father-son duo to play in an NBA game together.
