The Ohio State Buckeyes have offered a scholarship to four-star wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster, and they might secure his commitment a year earlier than expected. The Buckeyes already have verbal commitments from four-star wide receivers Chris Henry Jr. and Jaeden Ricketts, and Feaster could join them after reclassifying. According to On3.com’s Alex Gleitman, Feaster has moved his recruitment to the 2026 class, shifting from the 2027 class where he was the top-rated wide receiver. In this new class, Feaster faces increased competition in the recruiting rankings, but he remains a consensus top-100 player and a top-10 wide receiver in the 2026 cycle.
Interestingly, Feaster noted that Ohio State was the only school that expressed some hesitance about his decision to reclassify, primarily because offensive coordinator Coach Brian Hartline wants what’s best for him. “He felt like the best way for me to get to the league was to stay in 2027. But I feel like I’m making the right decision, so I’m sticking with my choice,” Feaster stated. He also mentioned that he currently has no college visits scheduled but plans to visit Ohio State along with other schools like Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, Oregon, and Alabama. Feaster announced his offer from the Buckeyes on January 29.

Feaster will spend his final year at DeSoto High School in Texas. In an interview with On3, Feaster expressed strong confidence in the Buckeyes’ prospects. “Receiving the offer from Ohio State was fantastic for me,” Feaster said. “What I really appreciate about Coach Hartline is his authenticity. He’s a genuine coach who is always upfront with you. I value that because it’s the kind of coaching I’ve been around my entire life, and I believe he would be a great fit for me.”
