The tight end position is one that requires urgent focus in an offense that has traditionally depended on it playing a key role in all aspects of the game. Although Will Dissly performed adequately last season, it’s evident that an upgrade is necessary. With a strong tight end class in the draft, there’s a chance that the top tight end could fall to a range where Jim Harbaugh and the Bolts might consider trading up, potentially allowing them to acquire one of the most intriguing offensive talents in Penn State’s Tyler Warren.

Warren had an impressive season for the Nittany Lions, amassing over 1,400 scrimmage yards and 12 touchdowns as the offensive team’s primary weapon. He is a physical powerhouse with remarkable athleticism for someone of his size and strength, capable of outrunning defenders or powering through them while carrying the ball. Additionally, Warren isn’t just an exceptional pass catcher; he also excels as a blocker, consistently winning one-on-one battles against linebackers and contributing significantly to a strong rushing attack with his physicality.
There’s a chance that the Los Angeles Chargers may find themselves in a position to select Warren, which could lead them to pursue this elite prospect for a crucial position. Warren would be an instant upgrade, adding immense value to the offense right away and providing Justin Herbert with an excellent safety net. His importance in both the passing and rushing games is significant, and he would seamlessly fit into this offense—a prospect that Harbaugh and the front office should highly prioritize.
