The Los Angeles Kings are reportedly eyeing Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline. However, acquiring Tuch could prove difficult, as he will likely come at a steep price. The Sabres would need a deal too good to pass up in order to move the talented forward, which might be more than the Kings are willing to offer.
That said, Los Angeles isn’t ruling out making a move at the deadline, and one potential target could be Jason Zucker. Zucker, who was signed by the Sabres as a free agent on a one-year deal prior to the season, has been outstanding for Buffalo. With 18 goals and 23 assists, he’s made a significant impact offensively. But where Zucker has really shined is on the power play, contributing nine power play goals and six assists.
If the Sabres feel they cannot re-sign Zucker to a new contract, trading him at the deadline would make sense. For the Kings, Zucker could be an ideal addition, offering offensive firepower and depth to their lineup. Should he become available, Los Angeles should be ready to pursue him as they look to strengthen their roster for a playoff push.
