The Tennessee Volunteers received a boost with the latest updates in college football. Head coach Josh Heupel is actively working on the 2026 recruiting class, and the Vols just secured a commitment from a highly regarded 6-foot-5 pass rusher. With this addition, Tennessee now has eight commitments for the 2026 class. Quarterback Faizon Brandon is the standout of the recruiting class, as he is a 5-star quarterback and the top-rated player in the nation according to 247Sports.

Tennessee continues to rise in the recruiting rankings, now sitting at No. 4 for the 2026 class, according to Rivals.com. CJ Edwards, a 3-star pass rusher from Metuchen Saint Joseph (N.J.), has also committed to Tennessee, ranking as Rivals’ No. 7 player in New Jersey. Edwards is set to end his recruitment, despite interest from other programs like the Michigan Wolverines, North Carolina Tar Heels, and West Virginia Mountaineers.
