FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Bison Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Jake Landry is reportedly departing the team to join a Power Four program.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports that Landry will take on the role of Running Backs coach at Iowa State.

Sources: North Dakota State offensive coordinator/RB coach Jake Landry has accepted the running backs coach job at Iowa State. NDSU’s offense ranked No. 3 nationally on the way to a national title last year.

Landry joined the Bison last year and played a key role in their National Title victory. He was appointed Quarterbacks Coach following Randy Hedberg’s retirement earlier this month.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Bison have lost an Offensive Coordinator to Iowa State, as Tyler Roehl also moved to the Cyclones last offseason.

We’ll keep you updated on Head Coach Tim Polasek’s search for a new Offensive Coordinator as it progresses.
