Commanders unearth 5-time Pro Bowl Wide receiver for Jayden Daniels

The Washington Commanders are actively looking to bolster their wide receiver group and find a top-tier talent to pair with Terry McLaurin in their high-powered offense.

NFL.com’s Nick Shook suggests that Buffalo Bills star Amari Cooper could be the ideal fit. While Cooper had a disappointing 2024 season and his role in the Bills’ offense diminished, Shook points out that Cooper showed in 2023 that he can still be a top receiving option, especially in an offense that loves to throw the ball.

Given Cooper’s veteran status and his focus on pursuing a championship, along with a less-than-stellar season in Buffalo, he may not command a large contract in free agency. This could make him a cost-effective addition for Washington, with the potential for him to return to his 2023 form. For the Commanders, it would be a low-risk move with a chance for significant reward—especially with Jayden Daniels leading the offense.

Cooper could officially join the Commanders when the new league year begins on March 12.
