Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has provided an encouraging injury update, confirming he will be ready for the 2025 season opener.

As the Cowboys prepare for a season with high expectations, Prescott’s health will be a key factor in their success. After suffering a season-ending hamstring injury against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, Prescott has been dedicated to his recovery.

Speaking at the launch of the Girl’s Flag Football League at AT&T Stadium this weekend, Prescott offered reporters an update as he looks forward to working with the team’s new coaching staff.

“I’m not going to put a timeline on it, but I’ll be ready for the first game when it matters and very, very ready,” Prescott stated, according to DallasCowboys.com. “I’m feeling good. I’m doing more each day. The last two weeks have been really productive for me.”

While Prescott isn’t yet running at full speed, he emphasized that everything is progressing well, and he’s excited about his recovery.

Although it’s unclear if Prescott will be available for OTAs or minicamp, the fact that he is on track for the season opener is a positive sign.

Since Prescott typically doesn’t play in the preseason, we will have to wait and see when he’s back in uniform for the Cowboys.
