Trade Rumor Suggests Colorado Avalanche Targeting Sidney Crosby for Playoff Push
As the NHL trade deadline nears, speculation continues to swirl about Sidney Crosby potentially leaving the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the Colorado Avalanche emerging as a top destination. Despite being 37 years old, Crosby remains a force on the ice, having recently appeared in his second consecutive All-Star Game. However, with the Penguins’ playoff hopes dwindling—currently eight points behind the second Eastern Conference wild card spot—the team may soon face a rebuilding phase.
Given the circumstances, it’s becoming harder to justify keeping Crosby in Pittsburgh. Adding further fuel to the speculation, Bleacher Report’s Joe Yerdon highlighted the exciting possibility of Crosby pairing up with Nathan MacKinnon in Colorado. With all signs pointing to a potential trade, the question remains whether Penguins GM Kyle Dubas will be willing to deal Crosby despite the inevitable backlash.
