Marcus Hill, NC State basketball’s scoring standout, intends to return to Raleigh for his final college season, as the transfer from Bowling Green shared after the Wolfpack’s 71-63 Senior Night victory over the Pitt Panthers on Wednesday.

Hill was granted the opportunity to play an additional year with the team due to a new NCAA eligibility rule introduced in December, which allows former junior college athletes to extend their playing careers.

Before the win against the Panthers, which temporarily kept the Wolfpack’s ACC Tournament aspirations alive, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Hill was averaging 11.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals in 27.8 minutes per game.

On Senior Night, he contributed 10 points and two rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench, shooting 4-for-8 from the floor, 0-for-1 from beyond the three-point line, and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.

Kevin Keatts’ eighth NC State basketball team concludes its regular season as the Wolfpack (12-18, 5-14 ACC) heads to Miami to take on the Hurricanes (6-24, 2-17 ACC) at noon ET this Saturday, which will be broadcast on The CW Network.
