NC State Football Takes a Step Forward in Recruiting Four-Star Jalen Williams

The NC State football team appears to be a strong contender to secure a commitment from elite Georgia defensive back Jalen Williams. A few weeks ago, NC State’s recruiting team secured an official visit from the Kell High School (Ga.) junior cornerback, which is scheduled for June 13-15 in Raleigh.

It comes as no surprise that the Wolfpack made it into Williams’ top five finalists this week. His other contenders are Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Ole Miss, and Pitt, as announced by the 6-foot, 160-pound four-star on social media.

Williams, who received an offer from NC State head coach Dave Doeren and his staff during an unofficial visit to the school in late January, is ranked No. 44 among Georgia’s 2026 prospects and No. 8 at his position by Rivals.

In the previous season, Williams recorded 38 tackles (four for a loss), two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, one blocked field goal, and four onside kick recoveries.

Currently, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists NC State as the leading team in the race for Williams’ commitment.

NC State is aiming to build its 2026 recruiting class, which, at this early stage, consists entirely of three-star prospects.
