“Nowhere I’d Rather Be” – Trey Hendrickson Talks Bengals Trade Talks
Cincinnati is reportedly fielding trade inquiries for the star edge rusher.
CINCINNATI — Trey Hendrickson spoke with WLWT on Friday evening after the Bengals allowed him to explore trade opportunities.
Sources suggest Hendrickson is seeking a contract worth over $30 million annually. While he didn’t go into details about this during the Brave Like Me charity event, he expressed his deep appreciation for the Bengals organization.
“I wouldn’t say it’s frustrating. It just gives me a chance to prove my worth every season,” Hendrickson shared with WLWT regarding the contract talks. “Being a starter in the NFL and representing a family-owned team like this, along with my family—whose name is on the back of my jersey—has been incredibly special to me. I’ve earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. It’s been an amazing journey, and getting to play alongside some of the league’s best, like Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Sam Hubbard, Logan Wilson, BJ Hill… I could go on. Ted Karras is on that list too—he’s an exceptional talent. I’m just really grateful for all the relationships I’ve built. No matter how it turns out, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”

Hendrickson has been a key player on some of the Bengals’ best teams in recent years and was a vital part of the team’s defensive performance last season.
