Bold Trade Proposal Sends NFL Draft Pick to Bengals in Trey Hendrickson Deal
CINCINNATI — On Thursday, the Bengals allowed Trey Hendrickson to explore trade options. Could the Bears be an ideal trade partner?
Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski suggested several potential trade scenarios for Hendrickson, one of which involved the Bears.
In this proposal, Chicago would trade the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, along with their third-round pick (72nd overall), to the Bengals in exchange for Hendrickson, the 17th overall pick, and a fourth-round selection (117th overall).
This imaginative deal would see the Bengals move up seven spots in the first round and 35 spots on day two of the draft.
Would the Bengals be willing to trade Hendrickson and move up in the draft without receiving an additional pick? While they may prefer to stay where they are, moving into the top 10 would increase their chances of landing a top-tier prospect.
Players like Mason Graham and Will Campbell could fall to No. 10, while Armand Membou, a player likely to be gone by No. 17, could be their top target at No. 10.
Additionally, the Bears hold the 39th and 41st overall picks, which could make for an interesting alternative trade, with the Bengals potentially acquiring the 39th pick and shifting from their second-round spot (49th overall) to the 41st overall pick.
Chicago could be an intriguing landing spot for Hendrickson, should the Bears be prepared to make a major move for the All-Pro pass rusher.
