USC Trojans Secure Elite Offensive Line Recruit John Fifita, Defeating Arizona Wildcats
The USC Trojans, led by coach Lincoln Riley, continue to strengthen their top-ranked 2026 recruiting class with the addition of three-star guard John Fifita. This marks USC’s first offensive line commitment for the 2026 cycle.
Fifita, a standout from St. Francis High School in Northern California, chose USC over offers from Arizona and Arizona State. Ranked as the No. 79 interior offensive lineman and No. 93 overall player in California by 247Sports Composite, Fifita brings physicality and talent to the Trojans’ offensive line.
The 6-foot-6, 350-pound guard spoke about his commitment to USC, praising the hospitality he received during his visit. “The hospitality and love they showed me and my family was unreal. It’s a great campus with a great education, and we truly believe in what Coach Lincoln Riley is building to elevate the program,” Fifita said.
According to Greg Biggins of 247Sports, Fifita’s size and strength make him one of the most dominant interior linemen on the West Coast. “He’s a mammoth prospect, one of the biggest guards in the ’26 class. At nearly 6-6, 350 pounds, he can overpower defensive linemen and plays through the whistle. He’s also an improving pass blocker with good footwork for his size,” Biggins commented.
