Major Boost: Oklahoma State Cowboys Football Secures Massive Commit

Oklahoma State now had two defensive ends in their 2026 recruiting class.

Landon Bland is set to join the Cowboys.

The 2026 three-star edge rusher from Carthage, MO, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Friday afternoon, selecting the Cowboys over offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, and Nebraska. He has received offers from a total of 12 schools.

Bland, who plays both defensive end and tight end for Carthage, made an unofficial visit to Stillwater last weekend and had a fantastic experience bonding with Oklahoma State’s defensive line coach, Ryan Osborn. Earlier this year, he also had visits from head coach Mike Gundy and recruiting director Todd Bradford, as the Cowboys were among the first to show interest in the 6-foot-4 defender.

Bland has an official visit planned at Oklahoma State for April 25.

He is the third commitment for the 2026 recruiting class, joining defensive end Jaylen Stewart and offensive lineman Aiden Martin. With Bland’s pledge, Oklahoma State now ranks 10th in the Big 12 recruiting standings.
