Spartans Extend Offer to Promising 2026 Athlete
Michigan State has extended an offer to 2026 ATH Jamyan Theodore, a three-star prospect from Chattanooga, Tennessee, ranked as the No. 22 player in the state by 247Sports.
Theodore, who has now received over 20 offers from a mix of Power-4 and Group of Five programs, is particularly strong at cornerback, where he excels with his fluid movement, man coverage skills, and natural ball instincts. His style of play would make him a great fit in Michigan State’s defense.
Head coach Jonathan Smith recently emphasized the importance of increasing competition within position groups during a media address. His strategy is to fill rooms with as much talent as possible to foster a competitive environment, and the secondary is one area where he’s focused much of his recruiting effort.
While Michigan State has been known for strong defensive back play, the position has struggled in recent seasons. Smith is working hard to provide secondary coach Blue Adams with more talent to push for improvements.
