South Carolina has secured a commitment from the top 2026 offensive lineman in the Palmetto State. During a ceremony at Carvers Bay High School on Friday morning, four-star offensive lineman Zyon Guiles announced his decision to join the Gamecocks. He becomes South Carolina’s sixth commitment in the 2026 class and the second offensive lineman, joining Anthony Baxter from South Pointe.

Guiles’ commitment comes just two weeks after he revealed his top seven schools: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. At Friday’s event, he had hats from his final choices displayed on the table before picking up the Gamecocks’ cap. “I will be taking my academic and athletic talents to South Carolina,” Guiles declared.

Both South Carolina and Clemson extended offers to Guiles on June 5, and it initially appeared he would visit both programs. In February, he outlined plans to visit multiple schools during the spring and summer. However, he ultimately chose to commit to Shane Beamer’s program without taking an official visit.

Ranked as a top-160 national prospect and a top-15 offensive tackle, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Georgetown native adds to what could be a major in-state recruiting class for South Carolina. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, the Gamecocks have already secured commitments from the No. 1 player in the state (cornerback J’Zavien Currence), the No. 3 player (Guiles), and the No. 5 player (tight end Jamel Howse). Meanwhile, the father of the No. 4 player, uncommitted Dutch Fork edge rusher Julian Walker, is on staff with the USC football program.

South Carolina 2026 Commitments:

▪ Anthony Baxter (OL) — Committed on May 5
▪ Keenan Britt (DE) — Committed on Aug. 5
▪ Jamel Howse (TE) — Committed on Oct. 5
▪ J’zavien Currence (DB) — Committed on Oct. 17
▪ Peyton Dyer (DB) — Committed on Nov. 4
▪ Zyon Guiles (OL) — Committed on March 20, 2025
