Broncos Strengthen Roster with BPA-Focused 3-Round Mock Draft

The Denver Broncos’ free-agent moves have set them up to follow a best-player-available (BPA) strategy heading into the NFL draft.

The Broncos have managed to build a nearly complete roster before the draft, avoiding major gaps that could derail their playoff aspirations. Many teams enter the offseason facing urgent needs—whether at quarterback, offensive line, or on defense—but Denver is in a strong position to approach the draft with flexibility. The one area still lacking is the running back position.

Despite being linked to free-agent running back Aaron Jones, Denver is likely to wait until the draft to address the position. They may look to secure a running back as early as the first round. Here’s a look at the Broncos’ potential picks in this week’s three-round mock draft.

Round 1, Pick 20: Omarion Hampton | RB | North Carolina

The Broncos aren’t forced to select a running back with their first pick, but this year’s running back class is one of the strongest in recent memory. While there are options later, if Denver is high on a back like Omarion Hampton, they shouldn’t shy away from selecting him early. Hampton, a 5’11”, 221-pound back, ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and demonstrated impressive jumping stats.

He is a well-rounded, physical runner who can break tackles and churn out yardage, providing a much-needed boost to Denver’s running game. Although not known for breakaway speed or being a dynamic receiving back, Hampton’s combination of size, strength, and versatility would make him an asset for the Broncos. His style, while aggressive, sometimes leads to missed opportunities due to a lack of field vision, but he could still be a valuable addition to Denver’s offense.

Round 2, Pick 51: Tyleik Williams | DL | Ohio State

One of the most explosive defensive linemen in the draft, Tyleik Williams falls to the Broncos in this mock due to his lack of pass-rushing stats at Ohio State. Despite that, Williams’ size, athleticism, and ability to disrupt the run game make him a high-floor pick. Standing 6’3″ and weighing 338 pounds, Williams can be a powerful force against the run and can play multiple roles on the defensive line.

While his pass-rushing skills need development, his potential as a run defender and pocket pusher makes him an intriguing choice for the Broncos. With several defensive linemen set to leave after this season, Williams offers a chance to reinforce the interior of the defensive line with a high-upside player.

Round 3, Pick 8: Jacob Parrish | CB | Kansas State

Though cornerback isn’t a pressing need for the Broncos, the team could look to add depth to the position, especially considering Riley Moss’ injury history. Jacob Parrish, a competitive and fluid cornerback, is a versatile player who could excel as both an outside and inside corner. At 5’10” and 191 pounds, Parrish plays aggressively and with tenacity, often covering bigger receivers effectively.

Parrish is not the biggest corner, but he makes up for it with his quickness, physicality, and ability to read the game. His ability to tackle and play in the run game makes him a good fit for the modern NFL, where slot defenders must be physical. Despite concerns about his size, Parrish’s athleticism and competitive nature make him a solid choice to help bolster the Broncos’ secondary.

Overall, this draft strategy allows the Broncos to remain disciplined, filling gaps while adding high-value talent at positions of need.
