Ime Udoka Reveals His Game Plan: Why the Rockets Are a Serious Threat

Ime Udoka on Why the Rockets Could Be a Threat in the Playoffs

The Houston Rockets are gearing up for a playoff push, and despite not making the postseason in the last five years, the team is determined to rise to the challenge.

Rockets head coach Ime Udoka discussed why he believes his team could be dangerous in the playoffs.

“The only thing we’re missing is experience for those guys who haven’t been there, but everyone has a first time at some point. At the end of the day, it’s just basketball,” Udoka said. “We have to approach it the way we’ve approached everything this year. We need to keep playing to our standard, focusing on what’s worked for us throughout the season, and not stray from that.”

“We need to keep getting stops, playing solid defense, and turning that into offense. Being the top team in offensive rebounds and playing with pace helps. But I think the key is balance — the more we share the ball and avoid getting bogged down, the better we play. Everyone feeds off that, and it carries over to our defense.”

While the Rockets will face tough competition in the highly competitive Western Conference, they’re ready to prove they belong in the postseason.
