Eagles’ $57 Million Fan Favorite Named Top Trade Candidate
The Philadelphia Eagles still have several key decisions ahead… Could another fan favorite be nearing the end of their time with the team?
Tight end Dallas Goedert has recently been the subject of trade rumors. He’s in the final year of a four-year, $57 million contract with the Eagles, and reports suggest the team may be “open” to trading him.
This has led Pro Football Focus’ Bradley Locker to label Goedert as Philadelphia’s top trade candidate.
“Philadelphia Eagles: TE Dallas Goedert,” Locker stated. “Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is known for being one of the most forward-thinking executives in the league, so it’s not surprising that he may be considering trading Goedert.”
Despite a solid season last year, with a 75.8 PFF receiving grade and an impressive 6.6 yards after the catch per reception, the 30-year-old tight end only played 14 out of 20 games due to a knee injury. Goedert is also set to become a free agent in 2026. Given these factors, it’s likely the Eagles could trade him before the draft and potentially look to draft a tight end on Days 2 or 3.
Goedert had a strong showing when healthy in 2024, recording 42 catches for 496 yards in 10 regular season games. He’s been a key part of the Eagles’ offense for the past seven seasons, but could his time in Philadelphia be coming to a close?
